The full carbon fork with thru-axle is light and comfortable. Wide-ranging Microshift Advent 1x9 gears have the range to tackle any trail. Powerful disc brakes with Schwalbe tyres mounted on wheels with Newmen rims – very similar to our full-size mountain bikes – are extra reassuring. And contact points like saddle, handlebars and grips designed for junior proportions ensure that your young rider is comfortable and in full control, all the time.

Frame

The Reaction 240 is made from the same kind of heat-treated 6061 aluminium tubes that you'll find on our performance adult bikes. We also use the same mechanical tube-forming process to adjust tube shapes for the best combination of strength and weight, as well as tyre clearance. There's a full carbon fork with thru-axle, to save even more weight. Disc brake mounts and cable routing allow for the greater safety and stopping power of discs. And a replaceable derailleur hanger insures against expensive repairs in the event of minor mishaps
